AMY DAVIES has over 10 years’ experience addressing business challenges and providing support in digitally-led program strategy, stewardship and brand elevation in key industries of advertising, film, TV and technology. As Associate Director of the Canadian Film Centre’s Media Lab, she supports design, development and implementation of all digital programming. Her achievements include the acclaimed ideaBOOST start-up accelerator program and Buffer Industry Day, Canada’s first YouTube Industry Conference. Prior to joining CFC, as Director of Content for Achilles Media, she headed several landmark initiatives, including the Banff World Media Festival, and the Canadian Innovation Exchange. She also did Emap work for leading British trade publications, and served as PR Manager for a telecommunications social network. In 2012, she launched her own consulting business and co-founded InsideDigital.org, a platform to support marketers in navigating digital channels and technology.
Amy is a Mentor with CFC’s accelerator program, sits on the Committee for Sheena’s Place and has spoken at numerous events, including the Vancouver International Film Festival, Webfest, nextMEDIA and NATPE.
