Twelve years ago he joined Scotiabank as a risk manager in the oil and gas sector worked his way through increasingly responsible roles to directorship in the Corporate Bank, focusing on Communications, Media and Technology companies. His job involves helping people at various companies to understand their financing problems or needs and then finding them financing solutions. He has served as Treasurer on the Board of the Pat Schulz Child Care Centre.

Happily married, he sees his most important and rewarding role to be raising his two young sons. The younger was born with Down syndrome, but after the initial shock, Eddy’s fear has transformed to joy as he has witnessed the fragility of life and the transformative power of hope. Understanding these things has led him to explore ways he can help others at Massey Centre.
