Donate Items

Due to the overwhelming response from an awesomely generous community
during the holiday season, the Massey Centre for Women must gratefully decline
donations of infant clothing and toys
until April 2012.

Please consider donating your items to one of the agencies
listed at the bottom of this page.

The community is very generous to the mothers and infants here at the Massey Centre, and we are profoundly grateful.   To make sure we need and can use what you wish to donate, please contact the Centre prior to arriving with your items. 

We have recently revamped our Donations program to make better use of limited display and storage space.  Please note that, effective immediately, the Massey Centre will accept ONLY  the following items:

gently used infants' and children's clothing up to size 6X
non-plush infant toys (e.g., teething rings, rattles, etc.)
powdered infant formula (milk-based)
Diapers (Newborn to Size 4) and disposable training pants (up to size 6)
Baby wipes (gentle/unscented preferred)
Baby wash, shampoo and soap
Baby towels and washcloths
Receiving blankets and cloth diapers (in small quantities)
Laundry soap (gentle/unscented preferred)
Fabric softener liquid, sheets, or bars (gentle/unscented preferred)
Personal hygiene items (soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, skin/nail care products, body wash, soap, sanitary napkins, hair brushes/combs, etc.) -- sample-size items gratefully declined
Dishes, cutlery, and glassware (for our clients setting up housekeeping
Cooking utensils, pots and pans
Small appliances (kettles, can openers, microwaves, toasters) in working order
Lamps in working order
Kitchen linens and bath towels
Bed linens (crib sheets and sheet sets for twin-size beds)
Limited amounts of women's clothing, suitable for young women aged 14 - 21; please check with the Centre before bringing your items
Board or cloth children's books
Baby feeding items (bottles, nipples, bottle brushes)

As a general rule, we are able to receive donations Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.  Alternative (i.e., evening and weekend) delivery arrangements are possible; however, this must be scheduled with at least 48 hours' notice to ensure staff is on hand to receive your items.

We thank all the members of our community for their generosity, and request your cooperation in keeping our home clean by not leaving your donations outside our doors or beside the Oasis bin on the west side of the property.
