Donate Items

Did you know that the average newborn goes through more than 350 diapers by the time he or she is one month old? For some of our young mothers, the expense of these diapers – hundreds of dollars per year – is beyond their means. And what about all the other things that babies and children and new and expectant moms need? Clothing and toiletries, toys and books, blankets and bottles – the list goes on and on. By donating new or very gently used items to Massey Centre, you know you are brightening the day of our moms-to-be and new moms and their children.

Items our clients and their children need the most include:

baby clothes (especially sleepers and undershirts in 3-6 months size)
    diapers (all sizes)
infant hygiene products (wipes, diaper cream, baby powder, baby shampoo and wash)
    formula
    bottles and feeding accessories
    blankets and crib sheets
    toys and books
hygiene products for moms (soap, deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, sanitary products)
clothing (especially maternity clothes and winter coats for moms and children)
    slippers and nightgowns
    bed linens
    towels
    small household items and appliances
    dishes and cutlery
    kitchen and bathroom accessories
   gift cards

Due to the overwhelming generosity of the community during the holiday season, Massey Centre is accepting only a limited number of donations until March 31, 2010.  Please call Cheryl Denomy, Manager, Resource Development, at the telephone number listed above, for more information.

Many thanks for thinking of Massey Centre!
