OMO AKINTAN is a labour and employment lawyer in the City of Toronto’s Legal Services Division. She provides human rights, labour and employment law advice to City divisions and to affiliated agencies, boards and commissions. She represents the City and its agencies, boards and commissions at arbitrations, in court, and before administrative tribunals. Omo graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2005.
Omo is passionate about her two young children and is dedicated to the work and joys of parenting. She is also passionate about inclusion, access and equity. At present, she serves on the Board at Sherbourne Health Centre, chairs the Diversity Committee of the City of Toronto Legal Services Division, and is an International Advisory Panel Member of the Astraea Lesbian Foundation in New York.
